This painting is one of a series of mixed-media features called Paper Dolls. Paper Dolls are figures drawn onto watercolor paper and then dressed up with acrylic paints before being fixed to an acrylic background on canvas.
Michelle draws her inspiration in art from her time spent connecting to His heart through intimacy, devotion and prayer. She lives to help others connect to God’s heart through creative expression.
“Walking in Love” was inspired by a commission piece called “Walking by Faith.” It has become a beautiful illustration of the promise that when we are in Christ we have the power to walk in His love the way He loved us. To walk in the love of Christ toward others, we have to give up our comfort and our time and risk rejection to step out and offer others the love Christ so freely gave us. Scripture says that when we live our lives sacrificially toward others, it becomes a pleasing aroma to our Poppa God!

Plain Brown Wrapper Cards represent God redeeming a cultural icon where sexually explicit literature and magazines were hidden in Plain Brown Wrappers slipped over the product and placed on shelves in stores.
As Michelle created these cards she heard the Lord say he was redeeming the stigma associated with a “Plain Brown Wrapper” by tucking these cards with His promises inside of cards that look like those Plain Brown Wrapper magazines.
The Paper Doll Series has come to represent times of deep intimacy and healing for the artist! She prays that as you receive them, you will sense God saying He wants to remind you that you are precious and valuable to your Father God. He longs to redeem all the ways you have been misused, mistreated, and abused. His Holy Spirit seals, marks, and keeps you for God’s eternal glory. You are a very precious treasure in the hands of a loving Fatehr – God’s beloved daughter.
Michelle Bentham is an inspired prophetic artist and ordained minister. She often says that every painting tells a story and believes that spending time with a piece of art will speak to you beyond the limitations of human vocabulary. She testifies her creativity and work to be born from the depths of her relationship with God and is passionate about connecting people to God’s heart through creative expression. She professes Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and offers private prophetic painting sessions for individuals and small groups.
